SNPL signs contract with Tan Vinh Cuu JSC to perform single window e- customs one-stop services

SNP Logistics (SNPL) was selected by the Customs Department to perform E-Customs One-stop Service. After the preparation time, SNPL has implemented the E-Customs One-stop service since February 4th 2013.
On 10 April 2013, Director of SNPL – Mr. Nguyen Nang Toan, and General director of Tan Vinh Cuu JSC - Mr Vo Quang Ha signed the contract to perform E-Customs One-Stop service. Tan Vinh Cuu JSC (TAVICO) is now known as a leading hardwood supplier in Vietnam. The company factories are located in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai province; has some branches in Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong City.
This pilot performance of E-Customs one-stop through the customs agent is one of the step in the National customs single- window program under Decision No. 48/2011/QD-TTg by the Prime Minister dated August 31 2011. E-Customs system is a process that allows parties involved in exporting/ importing send information and documents to only one customs’ reception. The authorities would process data and make decision based on the processes, procedures consistency, decision – making and the send its decision to the relating units via a common information exchange system among authorities. The Customs issues the final decision on clearance of goods for export, import; transit or means of transportation for export or import, transit based on the decision of concerned authorities which have been promptly delivered to the system in accordance with the regulation on the provision of the public services
E-Customs Service via Customs Agent will create the most favorable conditions for the importers and exporters. Customs Agent would be on behalf of the importers to carry out customs procedures from the stage of registration procedures on E-Customs to the clearance of goods, the importer does not have to directly contact with customs authorities to do clearance of imported goods. There are many advantages of the service: minimize arising costs, tax can be paid in advance by the agent as per the pre-payment time specified in the contract between SNPL and importer, Customs authorities would assist in connecting among Customs authorities – importers/exporters- Customs agents. After being deployed, the service has gained interest from customers; many companies have agreed to sign a contract to use customs One-Stop service with SNPL.
Spoken at the contract signing ceremony, General Director – Mr. Vo Quang Ha highly appreciated the utility of E-Customs one-stop service brought to enterprises. He believed that with the close co-operation and support from enterprises, SNPL in the role as customs agents and Customs Department Zone 1, the customs clearance process of TAVICO in the future will be quicker, more convenient and helps to reduce time, cost and procedure for the company. He also expressed his desire to have TAVICO cargo cleared by E-customs one- stop service of customs agent at Hai Phong’ ports in the time to come.
