The initial success of SNP Logistics in implementing the single window e-customs services
Recently SNPL signed one more contract to provide single window e-customs services to Tan Hiep Phat company – one of the enterprises having high demand on import and export in Vietnam. Under this agreement, SNPL has been assuming the duty of customs clearance for Tan Hiep Phat since May 06th, 2013.
In early April, 2013, SNPL also had an agreement and get the first shipment of Tan Vinh Cuu JSC (Tavico) to deploy e-customs service through customs agency. Through the initial assessment, customs clearance by single window e-customs agency service of SNPL brings customers many advantages in saving time and costs, as well as gives facilities for Tavico’s production plan.
The National single – window customs mechanism is an integrated system which allows the importers, exporters to submit or send information and standardized documentation to a single reception point. Then state agencies process the data and make decision based on the united and synchronized procedure systems. Finally, customs authorities decide on the clearance of cargo and on the releasing of import-export-transit cargoes or means of transportation based on the decisions of the involved state authorities timely sent to the system under the regulations of providing public services.
E-customs service through customs agency shall bring optimal benefits to import-export enterprises. On behalf of importers, customs agency takes responsibilities on processing customs procedure from the step of registering to customs clearance step. Therefore, the importers shall not have to directly contact to customs authorities at different divisions in the process of customs clearance.
