Tan Cang Que Vo ICD is an inland port located on the lower section of the Duong River, adjacent to Highway 18, near industrial parks in Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces ... with a scale of 10 ha, capable of accommodating maximum tonnage barges 160 TEUs. Tan Cang Que Vo has a berth length of 650m equipped with 5 Liebherr shore cranes (lifting capacity of 45 tons, reach of 30m) & operated by Saigon Newport Corporation - Vietnam's leading container terminal operator with over 30 years of experience. .
Currently, Tan Cang Que Vo ICD provides M&R service and will soon deploy CFS warehouse, reefer container service and multi-modal transportation (trucking, water transport and combined water and sea transport) and walso deploy barging connecting to Tan Cang Hai Phong international Terminal (TC - HICT). ICD is having the empty containers of large shipping lines such as Maersk Lines, SITC, Dongjin, SM Lines and many other shipping lines are also studying to move empty containers here to serve customers in industrial zones of Bac Ninh and Hanoi like Wanhai, Cosco ...
Early 2020, Tan Cang Que Vo Joint Stock Company is quickly completing its infrastructure and legal procedures to go into full operation as a complete ICD in October 2020.
The overview of Tan Cang - Que Vo ICD
It is expected that in the first phase (until Oct 2020), Tan Cang Que Vo ICD will put into operation 10 hectares of yards and 5 piers to receive 160 teu barges year-round with operation equipment and modern technology;
Phase 2 would come with the expansion of more than 30 ha, including warehouses, distribution centers; increase the berth.... to become a logistics center of Bac Ninh province, Bac Giang province and neighboring provinces.
With a long-term goal of becoming the port of destination, a centralized inspection center, and a Customs clearance point for imports and exports of Bac Ninh province (Canon, Samsung, Foxcon ...); Bac Giang province (Vina Solar - 130,000 Teu/year, Foxcon ...) and neighboring provinces (Toyota, Nitori, Ikea ...); linking goods between industrial zones in this area by barges with logistics costs 20 - 40% lower than the current inland transportation cost (depending on distance, type of goods); and developing empty depots near large Industrial Zones to benefit customers, thereby giving a competitive advantage to shipping lines. Currently, Tan Cang Waterway Joint Stock Company who is a specialized barging company of SNP and has been operating in the North and ready to connect Tan Cang Que Vo ICD with terminals in Hai Phong.
